Update 2025 – 2026: Our spaces for PUF students are full. Registration for 2026 – 27 kindergarten spaces will be accepted starting October 15, 2026.
Dalhousie Community Kindergarten welcomes children who receive Program Unit Funding (PUF). A limited number of spaces (2 per class) are available for students who attend with the support of an aide.
Registration Process
- Applications open October 15
- Submit the online registration form and include details about your child’s support needs, current agency, and program
If more applications are received than available spaces:
- Applications submitted between October 15 and mid-December are entered into a draw to determine order of consideration
- Applications received after the draw deadline are placed on a waitlist in the order received
Placement & Acceptance
- It is important that both you, as parents, and our program agree that our program will be a good fit for your child. The first two PUF applications will be assessed by the Kindergarten Teacher to ensure program fit and may include a visit to your child’s current program.
- Families will be notified of placement decisions as they are finalized
- If offered a space, you will have 48 hours to accept and submit the $225 registration fee
