January means the start of Kindergarten registration across the city. Starting this year, children in Alberta must be 5 years old by Dec 31, 2020 for government funded Kindergarten programs such as ours.
Registration of kindergarten-aged students who will be receiving Program Unit Funding (PUF) is now open for our program. Our program holds 2 spots for children who would be attending class with a PUF funded aide until our open registration date.
Kindergarten can be a big step and time for some big decisions, and we would like to help! We will be hosting an Information Session/Open House in our classroom on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020 from 6:30 – 7:30PM. If you have general questions about the process, want to learn more about your options and what’s available, or even just want to ask about what children learn in Kindergarten, we will be pleased to offer our assistance. If you have specific questions about our program, this is also an excellent opportunity to see our classroom, meet our teacher and both gather information and ask questions.
Open registration for Kindergarten-aged students will take place on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 6:30 pm. Advance registration for kindergarten-aged children currently registered in the Dalhousie Community Pre-School starts at 9:30 am, Tuesday, January 21.
Junior Kindergarten registration for students who will be at least 4 years old by September 1, 2020 opens February 4, if spaces are still available in our class. These students are not eligible for government funding, and pay a monthly tuition fee of $380. (More information here)
Our class size is limited to 18 spots, and we typically maintain a wait list to attend our morning class. Have more questions? Contact us
